We could never earn salvation by our good works.īut the Judgment Seat of Christ has to do with how we have lived for Christ after He saved us. #TEARS AT THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST FREE#Salvation is entirely the free gift of God and received the moment a person believes in Christ. #TEARS AT THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST FULL#The Great White Throne Judgment IntroductionĬhristians are told in Scripture, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” But what is the purpose of this judgment? Didn’t Jesus pay the full penalty for our sins and God remembers them no more? If so, why will Christians still be judged by Christ? This judgment has nothing to do with salvation. When we ask Him to clarify His promises, He does. What is the difference between the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment? Do Christians need to worry about the Great White Throne Judgment? It is His Covenant through Jesus Christ we are believing. It is an obvious reminder to the Earth-lings He loves, forgives His children. This is a good time to remember the Rainbow. This is another reason people blame God when a “hard” thing on Earth takes place. Much of this is a heart issue, for we see God as we see man. I take that to The Bank, or The Throne of Judgment, and He has shown me that when I reach the Throne of Judgment, He being totally righteous (right), will judge me through the lens of His Son’s Blood, that Salvation has never, and will never be “up for dismissal” EVERMore. “Well”, said the teacher, “when you know He doesn’t lie (the Word says He is not man that He should lie), loves us so much He is indwelling in us to live His Life out through us, can you just trust/believe our God will show you the Truth even tho’ you don’t believe Him at any point in time?” How about this or that verse? “Oh, I don’t know this might be the one time I just can’t say I believe God.” Do you find Truth in the Holy Spirit’s leading? “yes”. I was listening to one of our teachers recently, and one BIG truth stood out for me: ‘Kay, do you find Truth in the Bible?”, “yes”. But it is no longer laid on our account as something for which we must answer in the end.) ![]() Sin is still something we should avoid and we will avoid it as we follow Jesus. I am not suggesting that sin has no effect on us. (Now, I realize that some will be greatly concerned by this idea. Sin is not an issue now and will not be an issue then. When we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, we will already be sinless. God has already dealt with our sin, past and future, in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This is one reason I camp on the fact that there is no longer any sin on the account of a believer as far as God is concerned. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”) What about what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5, our passage, concerning the fact that the Lord will not “impute their trespasses to them”? Are these important truths suddenly forgotten? What about our sins being removed from us “as far as the east is from the west?” What about the past tense of our cleansing in 1 Corinthians 6:11? (“And such were some of you. Then, after suffering through that excruciating experience, all their tears will be wiped away and they will be welcomed into glory forever. (Wouldn’t that be fun?) Their good works will be acknowledged and their secret sins will be exposed. Some preachers have told their people that every event of their lives will be displayed for all to see. So what is this judgment about? Even if we relieve the concerns about losing our salvation or finding out that we really were not “good enough” after all, the idea of judgment is still something that inspires a certain fear in us. ![]()
